Welcome to Aftermarket Games!
Aftermarket Games is a community-maintained catalogue dedicated to new games created for classic gaming systems.
Whether you're a developer, publisher, collector or retro gaming enthusiast, you're welcome to contribute.
- What games can be added?
We welcome:
- **Aftermarket games:** New games developed for older gaming systems after their original commercial lifespan. - **Homebrew games:** Independently developed games for retro platforms. - **Commercial and free games:** Both are welcome. - **Upcoming games:** Announced projects and games currently in development. - **Unreleased games:** Games that have not yet received a public release.
ROM hacks are not currently included. Fan translations may be considered in the future.
Upcoming games should have some publicly available information supporting their existence.
- Adding a new game
1. Register an account and confirm your email address. 2. Sign in and select **Add Game**. 3. Complete the game submission form. 4. Add screenshots and release information if available. 5. Submit your game.
You don't need to complete every optional field. Accurate information is more important than filling every box.
- Game submissions and approval
New contributors' submissions are reviewed before appearing in the catalogue.
You can also suggest changes to existing games.
Trusted Users and Moderators have additional publishing privileges.
Please avoid submitting the same information repeatedly while waiting for approval.
- Screenshots and artwork
Screenshots and images help bring the catalogue to life!
You can contribute gameplay screenshots, promotional images, cover artwork and other relevant pictures.
A few guidelines:
- Keep images relevant to the game. - Supported formats are PNG, JPEG and WebP. - Maximum file size is currently 2 MiB. - Avoid unnecessary duplicates or misleading images. - Upload material you're permitted to share, and credit creators where appropriate. - Don't upload unrelated, offensive or clearly infringing material.
Images may become publicly accessible immediately, even when a game submission is awaiting approval.
- Keeping information accurate
We encourage contributors to provide sources where possible, such as:
- Developer or publisher websites. - Official announcements and social media posts. - Crowdfunding campaigns. - Game documentation and release information.
Please distinguish confirmed information from rumours or speculation.
- Artificial intelligence usage
Where known, please indicate whether AI was used during a game's development using the available AI usage field.
More detailed guidance on AI disclosure will be added in the future.
- Community guidelines
We want Aftermarket Games to be a useful, welcoming resource for everyone interested in retro gaming.
Please be respectful, contribute accurate information and avoid spam or deliberately misleading submissions.
Moderators may correct, reject or remove material that doesn't meet the site's guidelines.
- Questions or corrections?
If you've spotted inaccurate information or have a suggestion, you're welcome to contribute an update.
Thank you for helping document and preserve the world of aftermarket gaming!
